I couldn't possibly think about adding yarn to my wee little shop without having some of the stunning work by Becci and Markus from RiverKnits.

Fellow boat folk who are kindred spirits in their approach.  They both left high pressured jobs to live a simpler life.  Snap!  Their colourway inspiration is from their life on the canals and rivers as well as the landscape around them.

If you want a yarn that has no colour pooling then you will love the selection I have chosen to highlight.  They work up with a subtle variance in tone, bringing texture and life to your project.

Yarn is sourced from UK flocks.  Yay!

Yet again, I seem to have picked a dyer who uses names I can't pronounce.  It seems to be a theme for me.

Sturmwolke: Storm Cloud
Charcoal grey, the understated and elegant neutral. Sturmwolke can be warmed up or cooled down depending on what you pair it with.
Erntedank: Harvest Thanks
A warm golden mustard, this colourway is reminiscent of late summer days.
Sommerlicher Nachthimmel: Summertime Night Sky
A dreamy turquoise teal, this colourway looks stunning by itself and can also be paired with both warm and cool colours.
Stiefmütterchen: Pansy
The name also means “little step-mother” and Becci’s step-mother loves the colour purple so it’s very fitting!
Weibdornbeeren : (deep reds)
This is the mystery yarn as I have no idea of the inspiration but I can tell you it brings out stitch patterns like no other.
