If you’ve already seen the Escape Cowl, you will know I have a love for all things geometric. This beanie was the natural next step after the cowl.  Watch out for the mittens ... coming soon!

This is knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with a simple 2x2 rib section followed by an easily flowing pattern that is essentially just seven different rows of knits and purls, finished off with a decreasing section that carefully maintains the pattern flow.

There are handy progress check boxes at the end of each row so you can keep a visual track of where you are.

If you like this pattern, please give it a shout out on social media and know that your support is much appreciated.

I can't wait to see your fabulous beanie.

Finished Measurements

Measurements when unblocked and laid flat :

Brim : 6.5 in / 17cm, Body : 7.5 in / 19.5 cm, Cast on to Crown top : 8.5 in / 22 cm

Blocking is not strictly required. This is one of the few designs that looks amazing either way. My preference for this one is unblocked. This beanie has a generous amount of stretch due to the stitch pattern.

It will comfortably fit teens through adults. It really is the closest to ‘one size fits all’.
